History

Great Christian Academy was conceived with a mission and vision of providing good education to students in a Christian environment. Starting with few students, three teachers and a two-room house, the Great Christian Academy continues to excel and bring the mission and vision committed to the Lord. The cofounders of GCA, Rev. Joselito Z. Gutierrez a servant of God who has also solemnized marriages of Filipinos and foreign nationals, and together with his wife, Mrs. Andrea R. Gutierrez, has brought together broken families to the Lord for their new life in Christ. He continues to mold the minds of young people after the examples of Christ. He also preaches Gospel to the students, and strictly makes them aware on the deceptions and dangers incurred from drugs, frats, and gangs. Philosophy

Great Christian Academy embraces the humongous task of holistic learning for all students through the development of all human aspects: physical, intellectual, mental, emotional, social, civic, cultural, moral, and spiritual. This mission is carried through well-planned curricula, highly God-fearing, committed, and competent teachers, relevant teaching strategies and approaches, conducive environment for effective learning, and pastoral care. The school adheres to the following tenets of moral and biblical principles:

Each child is created by God in His own image and likeness (Gen 1: 26); therefore, they have unlimited potential to discover and develop.
Intelligences come in varied forms, and students have different ways of learning to be catered through differentiated instructions (Psalm 139:14).
Christian education is inclusive regardless of background; and no one should be left out and deprived from learning.
Each one is a sinner, and has fallen short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23); therefore, they need the saving grace of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Acceptance of Jesus as Lord and Savior results to new birth (I Cor. 5:17); and such crucial decision is a requirement in one’s Christian journey.
With obedience, God is changing His children from glory to glory towards the ultimate goal of Christianity: Christlikeness. The school plays a crucial role of this process on the areas of nurturing, mentoring, and disciplining the students to godliness (Prov. 22:6).
God-fearing individuals are endowed with knowledge and wisdom (Prov. 1:7) to be useful in serving God, and country.
Transformed individuals are catalyst of change in the society, and inward transformation is paramount towards that change.
It takes a village to educate a child; and the school upholds uprightness in all things on the ground of biblical teachings. Each member of the school community is expected to do the same to serve as models to the younger generation.

Make biblical values as an integral part of the curriculum in all grade and year levels;
Choose wise and biblical- based decisions;
Produce students who are capable of living a responsible and productive Christian lives; and,
Encourage and motivate students, parents, faculty, staff, and administration to work as one solid and unified family putting the Lord at its core.

Objectives

GCA is committed to carry the following items as its target:

To prioritize spiritual development by aspiring to develop the students’ healthy spiritual relationship with God. As a Christian school, this academic institution aspires to bring the students closer to God through proclamation of the Gospel of the salvation, training them in righteousness, and through developing their talents to be used in serving God and people;
To equip learners with sound biblical values which will enable them to think and live in a manner befitting an educated Christian Filipino for the twenty-first century;
To nurture learning potentials and capabilities through innovative learning processes that will establish and hone their knowledge and life skills;
To facilitate aptitude development through comfortable and conducive learning environment that is fun, engaging, and stimulating to the learners;
To cultivate an environment of academic freedom towards developing critical thinking in all disciplines. GCA serves as a venue for students to make informed learned choices that will prepare them to be productive individuals and members of the community in a democratic society; and,
To facilitate holistic development by exposing learners to various avenues that would develop and enhance them spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and culturally.

We continuously make the institution as a bulwark of values-based education by young minds to develop a true Christian faith, spirit, and character.
